Just about a year ago today, I was getting ready to embark on the journey of a lifetime. Even though I was new to attending school online, I felt like I was
ready for the challenge. I can honestly say that, “Time flies when you’re having fun.”
I truly enjoyed learning the material and then putting it to good use during student teaching.
For my experience during the program specifically, Dr. Fowler-Williams and Dr. Alford
directly contributed to my success. Since I attended McKendree online, I did not get
a lot of face to face, one on one time with my professors and my advisors. Those two
were able to answer most of my questions and guide me to the finish line. The program
was quick and only took 3 semesters to complete. As someone who has been an independent business owner
for the last couple years, that was extremely convenient for me since I did not want to spend too much time away from my passion and get rusty or lose momentum in my
market. Since I am an entrepreneur, I had the intrinsic motivation required to excel.
I am happy to say that I set an intention to do really well in the program, and was rewarded with being
inducted into Kappa Delta Pi. As a personal trainer and a football coach, a Master’s Degree in Education is a dream come true
for my credibility as well as my illustrious resume. I am honored to be a Bearcat,
and I am forever indebted to Dr. Fowler-Williams and Dr. Alford for their assistance
