McKendree’s Online Degree Program is One of Illinois’ Most Affordable
AC Online Lists 48 Colleges and Universities
Lebanon, Ill. — AffordableCollegesOnline.org (AC Online), has identified McKendree
University’s online degree program as one of the most affordable in Illinois. AC Online focused specifically on distance
learning options from fully accredited public and private non-profit colleges and
universities. The list is organized from lowest tuition to highest to ease value-based
comparisons. McKendree is 23rd of the 48 institutions recognized.
McKendree Online offers bachelor’s degree programs in psychology, business administration and nursing, and master’s degree programs
in education, business administration, and nursing.
“For-profit schools no longer dominate the distance-learning landscape,” said Dan
Schuessler, founder of AC Online, a resource for college affordability and financial
aid information. “Many of today’s top universities have added full online degree programs
to their catalogs, making it much easier for non-traditional students to receive a
quality education. The colleges on our list offer students quality, flexibility and
affordability.”
AC Online analyzed fully accredited, four-year public and private not-for-profit institutions
using data from the National Center for Education Statistics; the Integrated Postsecondary
Education Data System; the Carnegie Classification, a framework widely used in the
study of higher education; and Payscale.com, a salary data collection organization.
