U.S. News Ranks Four McKendree Online Programs in Nation's Top 100
Over 1,200 Programs Were Evaluated to Identify the Best
(LEBANON, Ill., January 7, 2015) — McKendree University’s online programs are among the top 100 in four categories of U.S. News’ “Best Online Programs” for
2015.
U.S. News evaluated more than 1,200 programs to identify the best. The McKendree online
bachelor’s degree programs, graduate education program, MBA and graduate nursing degree
programs are listed in the top 100 in their respective categories. This year U.S.
News’ Best Online Programs recognizes those from reporting schools nationwide in seven
categories: online bachelor’s and online graduate business, education, engineering,
MBA, nursing, computer information technology and criminal justice. Results are posted
at usnews.com/online-education.
“McKendree Online allows all students regardless of their geographic location to benefit
from our continued reputation for academic excellence,” said Dr. Christine Bahr, provost.
Available to students who are unable to attend one of the university’s campuses or
off-campus locations, McKendree Online offers bachelor’s degrees in psychology, business
administration (BBA) and nursing (BSN). The BBA degree is available in five majors:
business administration, human resource management, management, marketing, sport management
and starting this fall, accounting.
Graduate students can obtain an MBA or a Master of Arts in Education degree online
with majors in higher education administrative services and in curriculum design and
instruction, as well as a middle school endorsement. Master’s degrees in nursing are
offered as three tracks: nurse educator, and nurse manager-administration.
