McKendree University Kentucky Graduates Receive Their Diplomas
Student and Faculty Awardees Recognized at Commencement

(LOUISVILLE / RADCLIFF, Ky., June 10, 2015) — The Class of 2015 graduates of McKendree
University’s Louisville and Radcliff campuses received their diplomas and awards were
presented at commencement exercises held on June 6 at the First Christian Church in
Elizabethtown, Ky.
Lisa Hinton, of Elizabethtown, Ky., received the “Spirit of McKendree Award” for academic
excellence, character and community mindedness. Hinton joined the Radcliff campus
staff in 2010 and now serves as a student success advisor, financial services coordinator
and VA certifying official. She graduated in 2015 with a bachelor of business administration
degree in accounting and a 3.9 cumulative grade point average. She is a member of
Phi Kappa Phi and Sigma Beta Delta honor societies and “Who’s Who Among Students in
American Colleges and Universities.”
Outstanding Faculty Awards were presented to Sara Bolten, a certified nurse educator
and full-time nursing instructor; and Donna Ulrich, a human resource management instructor
at the Radcliff campus.
Bolten is known by students and colleagues as a selfless and dedicated educator who
is passionate about nursing, and who guides and supports her students as their teacher
and advisor. She has taught at McKendree’s Kentucky campuses since 1997.
Ulrich brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the classroom as a sought after
human resource management professional who speaks frequently at conferences and provides
consultation to organizations in crisis. She joined the Radcliff campus in the fall
of 2014.
This year, McKendree University conferred a total of 715 degrees—three doctorate,
13 specialist, 153 master’s, 530 bachelor’s and 16 associate degrees—on graduates
who completed their degree requirements in December 2014, and in May and July 2015.
Twenty students at the Louisville and Radcliff, Ky., campuses graduated with honors:
two summa cum laude, eight magna cum laude and 10 cum laude. Commencement was held
at the Lebanon, Ill., campus on May 9.
