McKendree University to Host Junior High Concert Band Camp June 5-8

(LEBANON, Ill., March 2, 2023) – McKendree University will be holding a junior high concert band camp from Monday, June 5 through Thursday, June 8 at the Hettenhausen Center for the Arts on campus. The camp is open to students who are currently in the fifth, sixth, seventh, or eighth grade and have completed at least one year of school instruction on their instrument by this June.

Attendees will experience full band rehearsals in two bands, master classes, sectionals, a music theory and appreciation class, and performances by professional musicians every day during camp. The band camp will conclude with a culminating performance, which is open to the public, on Thursday, June 8 at 6 p.m.
