The McKendree Bearcat Booster Club (MBBC) is the fundraising arm for McKendree University Athletics. Supported by individuals and businesses alike, the MBBC provides funds that support program operations and facility enhancements for more than 900 student-athletes. Gifts to the MBBC support athletic programs in the following ways:

 

• Enhancement of athletic budgets supporting 36 sports programs

• Equipment, travel, uniforms and supplies

• Improvements and repairs of fields and facilities


The MBBC is dedicated to providing an exceptional athletic experience for the student-athletes at McKendree University through annual contributions. Members include alumni, former student-athletes, parents, faculty, staff and friends who are dedicated to the advancement of Bearcat Athletics. In keeping with this vision, the McKendree University Athletic Department benefits directly from contributions to the Bearcat Booster Club. No matter how much you choose to donate, every gift provides necessary resources to compete at the NCAA and other premier associations.

The support that the MBBC and its members provide McKendree Athletics is the driving force behind student-athletes being able to maintain the highest standards of excellence, both academically and athletically. In the 2022-23 academic year, McKendree University had 41 student-athletes earn the GLVC Council of President's Academic Excellence Award. Each honoree has exhausted his or her eligibility in the intercollegiate sport in which they participated and maintained at least a 3.5 grade-point average throughout their academic career. They must also have competed in the GLVC for a minimum of two years and completed 96 credit hours. 

McKendree also had 36 student-athletes received the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Brother James Gaffney Distinguished Scholar Award for earning a 4.0 grade-point average over the course of the 2022-23 academic year.  

Additionally, 311 student-athletes earn Academic All-GLVC Honors for the 2022-23 academic year. To be eligible for Academic All-GLVC Honors, a varsity student-athlete must have 3.3 grade-point average over the course of the two semesters of that academic year.
