Give a Gift of Entertainment: Tickets to the Hett
Need an entertaining gift idea for the children or the music and theater lovers on
your holiday gift list? Consider tickets to a 2014 performance at the Hettenhausen
Center for the Arts. While some shows have sold out, seats remain for several performances
in 2014, including a VIP dinosaur experience for children, and the Metropolitan Opera’s
“Live in HD” series.
Prices range from $5 to $25, with discounts for seniors and students. Gift certificates
are available in $25 increments. Personal checks, cash and all major credit cards
are accepted.

Feb. 21, 7:30 p.m.: The John Pizzarelli Quartet reinvigorates the Great American Songbook with cool jazz, brilliant guitar playing
and vocals.
March 5, 7:30 p.m.: Valentina Igoshina is an acclaimed Russian pianist who has performed on many of the world’s grand concert
stages.
March 8, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.: Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo Live is an entertaining, educational show in which children accompany the lifelike creatures
on a journey to prehistoric Australia. For the 6 p.m. show only, a special VIP children’s
ticket available for $25 per child that includes an exclusive pre-show meet and greet
with the dinosaurs and their handlers, preferred seating close to the action, and
an official Dinosaur Zoo hat.
April 3, 7:30 p.m.: The Intergalactic Nemesis - Book One: Target Earth is a 21st century mash-up of comic books, sci-fi and radio adventure drama for the kid in everyone.
“The Met at the Hett” simulcasts New York’s Metropolitan Opera in high-definition, offering a better-than-front-row
seat for “Rusalka,” Feb. 8; “Prince Igor,” March 2; “Werther,” March 15; “La Bohème,”
April 5; “Così fan tutte,” April 26; and “La Cenerentola,” May 11. General admission
seating for each opera is $18 adults, $15 seniors and $10 for full-time students.
