‘Les Miserables’ Matinee at the Hett on March 24
Lebanon, Ill. — See “Les Misérables” again, or see it before it is out on DVD, at
a Sunday matinee on March 24 at McKendree University’s Hettenhausen Center for the
Arts. The film will be shown at 2 p.m. Admission is $5 and the public is welcome.
McKendree faculty, staff and students are admitted free with a university ID. Run
time is 158 minutes.
Set in 19th century post-revolution France, the 2012 musical drama stars Hugh Jackman stars as
former prisoner Jean Valjean, Anne Hathaway as the tragic Fantine (in an Oscar-winning
performance), and Russell Crowe as a ruthless policeman. The film adaptation of the
Broadway musical received eight Academy Award nominations.
