McKendree University Welcomes New Trustees

(LEBANON, Ill., February 9, 2017) — The McKendree University board of trustees welcomed its newest member, Mark Waltermire, at its Feb. 4 board meeting.

Waltermire, of Maryville, Ill., retired in 2013 as executive vice president of The Laclede Group, where he held a number of financial and operational positions during his 23-year tenure. He is a certified public accountant and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Illinois. Waltermire currently serves on the board of the Deaconess Foundation and is active in his church, St. John Evangelical United Christ, in Collinsville.

Two McKendree University alumni also joined the board recently. Rebecca (Lindstrom) Wohltman, of Belleville, Ill., specializes in business transactions, estate planning, corporate law, criminal tax, taxation and litigation for Mathis, Marifian & Richter, Ltd. The 2009 McKendree graduate earned bachelor’s degrees in accounting and political science and went on to graduate summa cum laude from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2012. She is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Missouri. Wohltman is a member of the Zion Lutheran School Board, Zion Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, Belleville Running Club, Belleville Marathon Committee, and Illinois State and St. Clair County Bar Associations, and is an active McKendree alumna.

Gregory Mennerick, of St. Louis, is an associate with Thompson Coburn LLP, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, and corporate regulatory and compliance issues. He is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Missouri. Formerly of O’Fallon, Ill., Mennerick received a bachelor’s degree in economics from McKendree in 2006 and graduated magna cum laude from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2009.
