Saint Louis Wind Symphony in Concert at the Hett on Nov. 20
Lebanon, Ill. — The Saint Louis Wind Symphony will perform at McKendree University’s
Hettenhausen Center for the Arts at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20.as part of the ensemble’s
“Salute to the American Spirit" this season.
Wind Symphony musicians include McKendree faculty members Dr. Rick Acuncius of the
Education Department, clarinet instructor Connie Galbraith, and brass methods instructor
Greg Allen, as well as alumni Jennifer Freeman-Talley '94 and Chris Gass '07.
Established in 1998, the 65-member, all-volunteer concert band’s mission is to give
St. Louis area music educators and professionals opportunities to perform. Performing
under the direction of Dan Presgrave, its repertoire embraces both classical and contemporary
woodwind compositions, patriotic marches, show tunes and jazz. Learn more about the

The Russel E. and Fern M. Hettenhausen Center for the Arts—“The Hett”—is Southern
Illinois’s premier performing arts venue, presenting world class dance, drama, classical
music and jazz.
