McKendree University Students to Perform "The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong" March 25-27
(LEBANON, Ill., March 23, 2022) – McKendree University’s students will be presenting
“The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong,” a comedic performance of a play within a play.
The curtain will rise for three performances from March 25-27 at the Hettenhausen
Center for the Arts on campus. The Friday and Saturday performances will begin at
7:30 p.m.; Sunday’s matinee starts at 2:30 p.m.
Admission is free for McKendree students, faculty and staff. General admission tickets
are priced at $5, and reservations are recommended. Contact the Hett box office at

Written by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Shields, “The One-Act Play That
Goes Wrong” is a play within a play where its audience witnesses The Cornley Drama
Society perform ‘The Murder at Haversham Manor’ as they experience great misfortune,
but the show must go on. The actors and crew battle against all odds to make it through
to their final curtain call, with hilarious consequences. From Mischief, the creators
of the West End smash Peter Pan Goes Wrong, critically acclaimed TV series The Goes Wrong Show, and the Tony-winning Broadway hit The Play That Goes Wrong, this is the original one-act play which started everything going wrong.
Cast members include: Alexander Huber as Chris/Inspector Carter; Kyle Dailor as Jonathan/Charles
Haversham; Brad Eston as Robert/Thomas Colleymoore; Madeline Trinity as Denise/Perkins;
Baileeanne Brunais as Sandra/Florence Colleymoore; Hunter Tucker as Max/Cecil Haversham;
Madison Rohn as Annie; Lili De Oliveira Pelaez as Tracey; and Liz Coady, Felicity
Crowell and Sean Harper as understudies. With Mia Wylie serving as stage manager,
the rest of the crew members include: Alex Brandenburger, Julian Castillo, Jeremy
Kinealy and Grant Smith.
The Hett opens for general admission seating 30 minutes before each performance begins.
