McKendree Health Center provides primary care services, disease and injury prevention, management of chronic illness and supports public health initiatives. We strive to promote healthy behaviors and lifestyle choices through ongoing education. Student Health is dedicated to assisting students stay at their optimal health to achieve their academic and athletic goals and personal development consistent with the mission of the University.
McKendree undergraduate students are seen free of charge by a licensed clinician and all records are confidential as required by law. Medications prescribed by the Nurse Practitioner or testing that is sent to LabCorp are sent to insurance or the local pharmacy.
Services:
- Acute physical illness evaluation/treatment
- Reproductive health care (including STI testing/treatment)
- Chronic illness management includes continuum of care/prescription medication management prescribed by patients’ primary care/specialist with proper documentation.
- Physical exams
- Selected immunizations
- Blood draws (those ordered by McKendree Nurse Practitioner or patients primary care provider)
- Prescription and over the counter medications (OTC)
- Continuation of allergy shots approved by allergist
- Mental health services include Nurse Practitioner collaborates with McKendree Counseling to provide continuation of current medication and evaluation at treatment for new medication.
- Self-Care Cart available for quick OTC medications
- Medical history and immunization record evaluation/management (all records due upon admission to university)

* TB/PPD Immunization $10.00
* Physical Exam for participation at work/daycare $10.00
* Depo provera admin *Allergy injection admin *Rapid testing for flu, strep throat, UTI, blood sugar. Over the counter medications. ALL INCLUDED WITH YOUR HEALTH SERVICE FEE.
STI testing sent to Labcorp and billed to patients insurance.
*PRICING FOR GRAD STUDENTS*
Grad/Masters program students do not pay the Health Services fee per semester therefore pay at time of service.

- Confidential Medical History and Immunization Record
- The confidential medical form can be filled out on the Res Life Portal and you are able to upload your immunization forms to the Res Life Portal.
- Immunization records can also be faxed, mailed or emailed to lmauten@mckendree.edu

Immunization Requirements
Proof of a Tetanus vaccine within the last 10 years.
Proof of two MMR vaccines.
Proof of two Meningitis ACWY vaccines.
The law does not apply to students born before 1957. Students will not be permitted
to attend classes or move into the residence halls until this requirement is met.
Students may obtain their immunization records from their physician, high school,
or university/college previously attended.
**The Illinois state law now requires proof of a meningitis acwy immunization on or after the age of 16. If the first meningisitis shot was received prior to age 16 a booster is required.
