McKendree provides direct support to students applying for McKendree-funded fellowship opportunities (open only to McK students), as well as students preparing applications for national and international fellowship opportunities (which are open to students and alumni of other institutions).

- American Chemical Society Scholars Program and ACS Co-Sponsored Programs - support for students from historically underrepresented groups to do STEM research
- Amgen Scholars Summer Research Program - summer STEM research opportunities
- Boren Scholarship - support for language study abroad of up to one year, service commitment following graduation
- Critical Language Scholarship : Summer institutes in critical (less commonly taught) languages
- DAAD Scholarships : Support for study abroad in Germany (some require German, some do not!)

- John Lewis Fellowship : US-based (Atlanta) version of the Humanity in Action Fellowship
- Meridian-Cox Foreign Service Fellowship for Emerging Leaders: Washington, DC-based, one-week summer program for sophomores or juniors interested in foreign service/international affairs careers
- National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Earnest F. Hollings Scholarship : Yearly scholarship plus paid summer internships at NOAA
- Phillips Scholars : Project-based support for community engagement
- Projects for Peace : Support for peace-focused summer projects
- Public Policy & International Affairs Program (PPIA) : Summer institutes for juniors from underrepresented backgrounds interested in public policy and international affairs
- Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Program : DC-based summer program in international affairs and public policy; students from underrepresented backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply!
- SMART Scholarships : Support for STEM students in select disciplines, service commitment (Department of Defense) following graduation
- Truman Scholarship : Supports graduate/professional study for students committed to public service careers, service commitment (in government, education, nonprofit, or other fields) following completion of graduate/professional degree
- Udall Scholarship : Support for students committed to environmental or Native American issues
- Youth Activity Fund of the Explorers Club : Project-based support for student research in STEM
