Save 25 Percent on Summer Classes at McKendree University
(Lebanon, Ill., March 5, 2012) — McKendree University is offering a 25 percent discount
on summer class tuition not only to its undergraduates but also to students from other
schools. Undergraduates at the Lebanon campus can take summer courses for $585 per
credit hour. Classes start on June 4.
The discount is available not only to current McKendree undergraduates at the Lebanon
campus and new students who will start next fall. It is also offered to undergraduates
enrolled at other institutions who want to take a summer class or two as non-degree-seeking
students. The reduced tuition rate does not apply to graduate students or those enrolled
at the university’s off-site locations.
Students can take advantage of the lower summer rate to jump start or accelerate their
academic program at a significant savings. A lighter course load during the regular
semester can make it easier to participate in campus activities. McKendree students
can eliminate the paperwork required to register at another school and transfer their
credits. They can also boost their grade point average if they do well.
A variety of four, six or eight-week courses is offered in one of three formats: face-to-face
at the Lebanon campus, online and at the Center at Scott Air Force Base.
There is no limit to the number of courses or credit hours that students may take
at the reduced summer tuition rate. Online courses carry an additional $50 per credit
hour technology fee. Lab or other course-specific fees will also apply, however student
activity and health services fees will not be charged. The Office of Financial Aid
will review all students who have financial aid eligibility.
Interested current undergraduates may contact their academic advisors and new students
should contact their McKendree admissions counselor for more information. Non-McKendree
students may contact the admission office at (800) BEARCAT or (618) 537-6831 for more details.
