Are You McKendree University’s Next K-12 Teacher of the Year?
School of Education Grads Eligible for 2013 Award
Lebanon, Ill. — Are you an outstanding Metro-East teacher who is a McKendree University
graduate? You could be the university’s next K-12 “Teacher of the Year” award winner.
The selection committee is looking for alumni nominees who are knowledgeable professionals,
caring practitioners and lifelong learners.
You must be a McKendree University School of Education graduate and a current K-12
teacher with at least three years of experience in St. Clair, Madison, Clinton, Washington
or Monroe County. You must also be available to attend the university’s Dinner for
Cooperating Teachers on Apr. 23, 2013. The award winner will receive four tickets
to the dinner at the Hettenhausen Center for the Arts, and two all-sports passes to
McKendree Bearcats games.
Those interested should submit a professional biography that explains their commitment
to teaching; two letters of recommendation, one each from an administrator and a colleague;
and a curriculum vitae.
