McKendree Discounts Tuition for KCTC Grads, Locks in BSN Tuition Rate

(Louisville and Radcliff, Ky., July 26, 2012) — McKendree University will offer two significant tuition discounts beginning this fall. The university will offer Kentucky community college students a significant tuition discount and it will also offer students in the RN-BSN program an actual tuition lock for three years.

With the first tuition discount, any student who has graduated with an associate degree from the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) within the last five years is eligible to receive a 10 percent discount on tuition. The offer is valid for all on-site bachelor of business administration (BBA) degree programs, computer information systems (CSI) and the RN-to-BSN program. It does not apply to online programs.

Students must attend McKendree University continuously to work toward their degree and must complete their degree requirements within three years of starting the program. To remain eligible, students must receive a grade for a minimum of one class each fall and spring semester.

With the second tuition discount, the University will not raise its tuition rate for its RN-to-BSN nursing program for three years from the program’s start date. Registered nurses employed by a designated hospital may complete their entire McKendree University BSN degree at the current tuition rate at the time of their initial enrollment.

To remain eligible, a registered nurse must maintain employment at one of eight designated hospitals and complete a minimum of one class each per fall and spring semester. Termination of employment will void the locked rate tuition guarantee. (The nurse may continue to remain in the BSN program, however tuition will revert to the current standard rate for that term.)

“These initiatives offer tremendous opportunities for students to achieve a valuable McKendree University bachelor’s degree,” said Karen Gerstner, director of the University’s Centers at Louisville and Radcliff.
