Canned Goods Collection on March 24 Will Benefit Food Pantry
McKendree Students’ Annual ‘Bunny Hop’
Lebanon, Ill. — Lebanon residents are asked to set aside a few canned goods to donate
on Sunday, March 24, when McKendree University’s Lyn Huxford Center for Community
Service hosts its annual “Bunny Hop for Canned Goods.”
McKendree students will be “hopping” around town between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to collect
non-perishable items for the Lebanon Food Pantry, which is operated out of St. Paul’s
United Church of Christ in Lebanon.
All of the items collected will be counted and matched by the Feinstein Challenge.
The Feinstein Challenge is a national food fundraising drive during the months of
March and April that helps to benefit local hunger relief agencies in communities
across the country.
The McKendree community thanks all of the Lebanon residents for their help in donating
to this wonderful cause. If you would like to donate but will not be home, please
leave a bag on the front porch or doorstep and students will come to collect it.
