Database Lists McKendree Among Top Colleges for Teacher Education
Lebanon, Ill. — The College Database, a comprehensive source for U.S. college and
university data, lists McKendree University among the state’s top schools for teacher
education. “Top Colleges in Illinois: Shaping the Next Generation” recognizes post-secondary
institutions in the state that graduated the most education and teaching professionals
during the 2012 academic year.
McKendree awarded 255 education degrees in 2012, the 19th most of 53 ranked institutions and ahead of Northwestern, Bradley and the University

teacher education programs,” said Doug Jones, founder of The College Database. “But
which ones are producing the most young educators today? We wanted to identify the
colleges making the largest impact on our students.”
