McKendree University Honors Outstanding Alumni from the Past 40 Years
Louisville / Radcliff, Ky. — McKendree University honored the following 24 outstanding
alumni who graduated from its Louisville and Radcliff campuses over the past 40 years
at a reception preceding its June 7 commencement ceremony:
Scott Amrein, of Goshen, Ky., graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2006
and a Master of Business Administration degree in 2013. He is the project/process
owner – operations at Vantiv in Cincinnati.
Tammie Bertram, of Harrodsburg, Ky., received a Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2013. She
is the director of nursing at the Franklin County Health Department in Frankfort,
where she has worked for 17 years.
Denise Bingham, of Frankfort, Ky., graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2007
and a master of nursing degree in 2012. She is the director of nursing at Three Rivers
District Health Department in Owenton.
Nancy Bowles, of Mt. Washington, Ky., received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 1997.
She is the vice president of operations at the James Graham Brown Cancer Center and
the operations leader for cancer care in the Louisville market for KentuckyOne Health.
Steve Costello, of Louisville, Ky., graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree
in 1986. He is the operations manager of Medicare MRA at Humana, Inc., where he has
worked for 34 years. He has also been a McKendree associate faculty member since 1997.
Patrick Coty, of Louisville, Ky., graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information
systems in 2003. He is the director of technology deployment and franchise services
for KFC, a subsidiary of Yum! Brands, his employer for over 23 years.
Major Gen. Joseph Culver, of Bardstown, Ky., graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in
1988. He is the Commander of the 38th Infantry Division of the Indiana National Guard.
Commissioned in 1979, he is a career National Guardsman who has served at both the
enlisted and officer levels. He was mobilized for Operations Desert Shield/Desert
Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom and Afghanistan.
Craig Fairfield, of Louisville, Ky., received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in in
2004 and a Master of Business Administration degree in international business in 2008.
He is an account executive, strategist and writer at Wax Custom Communications, where
he specializes in health and wellness communications and marketing. He has also been
a McKendree associate faculty member since 2008.
Marty Feldkamp, of Louisville, Ky., received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2013.
She is the director of enterprise account sales in the healthcare sector at UPS, where
she has been employed for over 20 years.
Christopher Greene, of Louisville, Ky., a 2006 graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree,
is the human resources manager at The Galt House Hotel.
John Hagan, of Jacksonville, Fla., graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree
in 1980. He was the eighth Master Chief Petty Officer of the U.S. Navy (the most senior
enlisted member).
Craig Jennings, of Louisville, Ky., a 2002 graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree,
is the vice president of operations and strategic development at Presbyterian Homes
and Services of Kentucky.
Darrell Keeling, of Taylorsville, Ky., received a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information
systems in 2004 and a Master of Business Administration degree in 2013. He is the
director and chief information security officer at Brown-Forman.
Major Gen. Mark Kraus, of Clarksville, Ky., graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree
in 1987. He is the Air National Guard Assistant to the Commander, U.S. Air Forces
Central Command. Commissioned in 1979, he was mobilized in support of Operations Noble
Eagle, Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
Patricia Krausman, of Radcliff, Ky., graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
She is the director of the Kentucky Small Business Development Center in Elizabethtown,
Ky., where she has worked for 18 years.
Jennifer (Atkisson) Logsdon, of Louisville, Ky., received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2005
and a Master of Business Administration degree in international business in 2008.
The former director of admission and corporate learning at McKendree is now an account
manager at The Learning House.
Venus (Hartman) Marcum, of Louisville, Ky., graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information
systems in 1998 and a Master of Business Administration degree in international business
in 2010. She is the senior project manager at Trover Solutions.
Debra J. Martin, of Shelbyville, Ky., graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree
in 1993. She is the president and chief executive officer of Shelby Energy Cooperative,
Inc.
Jacob McKnight, of Reading, Pa., a 1985 graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree,
is the vice president and chief information officer at Reading Health System in Reading,
Pa.
Glen Powell, of Bedford, Ky., graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information
systems in 1995 and a Master of Business Administration degree in 2005. The 2-1-1
director at Metro United Way, Inc., is a retired Louisville police detective and Chief
Petty Officer with the U.S. Coast Guard.
Elisha Ratterman-Ballard, of Louisville, Ky., graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree
in 2001. She is the president at Road Dog Construction and national business development
manager at Road Dog Industrial. She also held the title of Mrs. Kentucky in 2011-2012.
Stacey Robinson, of Louisville, Ky., received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1997.
She is the senior vice president of operations at the Kentucky Derby Festival, her
employer for 28 years.
Scott Skinner, of Louisville, Ky., graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree
in 2001. He is the system director, clinical engineering at Norton Healthcare, Inc.
Steve White, of Louisville, Ky., who received Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1992,
is the assistant vice president of compliance at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
