McKendree University Celebrates Students' Academic Excellence April 27
(LEBANON, Ill., April 13, 2017) — McKendree University’s fourth annual Academic Excellence
Celebration on Thursday, April 27 will highlight the research, collaboration and creativity
of 444 student presenters this year.
The Academic Excellence Celebration gives students the opportunity to present, perform and exhibit academic projects
that they have developed throughout the year. Classes are not held so that students,
faculty, staff members and guests may attend sessions featuring capstone projects;
research poster presentations, and art exhibit, and performances at the Hettenhausen
Center for the Arts.
The event schedule includes the following:

124 research posters in Holman Library and Ames Dining Hall, 8:30 to 9:45 a.m.

54 presentations in Piper Academic Center, Bothwell Chapel, and the Hett Choir Room, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Honors Convocation, recognizing graduating students for their academic accomplishments, the Hett, 1 p.m.
-
All-Student Art Show, McKendree Gallery of Art in downtown Lebanon, 4 to 6 p.m.

12 honor society induction ceremonies in the evening

McKendree Dance Ensemble performs at the Hett, 7:30 p.m.
