McKendree Earns Two National Higher Education Advertising Awards
(LEBANON, Ill., February 23, 2017) — An end-of-year fundraising appeal and a student-athlete
recruitment video have earned Gold Awards for McKendree University in the nation’s
largest educational marketing and advertising competition. A national panel of industry
specialists judged entries in the 32nd Annual Educational Advertising Awards on their exceptional quality, creativity, marketing
execution and message impact. The university also received merit recognition in the
social media category.
Members of the University Communications and Marketing Department team produced the
award-winning pieces. The fundraising appeal, for FORWARD: The Campaign for McKendree University, was created by graphic designer Ed Vernon and printed by Stolze Printing Company of St. Louis. The four-minute athletic recruitment video, a winner in the video viewbook category, was
produced by Nathan Luber, digital assets coordinator and Mike Embrich, director of
web communications and digital assets.
The annual Education Advertising Awards are sponsored by the Atlanta-based Higher
Education Marketing Report.
