(LEBANON, Ill., June 7, 2018) — The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program at McKendree
University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education http://www.ccneaccreditation.org). The
CCNE Board of Commissioners recently granted accreditation for five years, until June
30, 2023, determining that the program met all four accreditation standards. An on-site
evaluation took place in October 2017.
The goal of Doctor of Nursing Practice in Ethical Leadership degree program is to
prepare nurse leaders to work at the highest level of their specialty practice and
to serve as ethical leadership champions within their health care organization. Designed
for working practitioners, the 30-credit hour online curriculum is challenging, rigorous
and highly stimulating. Participants complete the program as a cohort (a group moving
together through the program). The two-year program, extending over five semesters,
is a sequential course of study and includes an Advanced Nursing Project.
