Electronics Recycling Drive on Campus on May 25
(LEBANON, Ill., May 4, 2021) — McKendree University and the PCs for People organization
will host an electronics recycling drive on campus on Tuesday, May 25 from 1 to 4
p.m. Bring items to parking lot C near the Hettenhausen Center for the Arts.
The following items will be accepted: desktop and laptop computers, phones, TVs and
monitors (no CRTs), keyboards, computer mice, printers, speakers, hard drives and
other computer parts, power cords and cables, servers and networking equipment.
Items which will not be accepted are household appliances, microwaves, refrigerators, vacuum cleaners,
car batteries, older TVs and monitors with cathode ray picture tubes (CRTs), copiers,
or anything containing chemicals, fossil fuels, bio-waste, oil, liquids, powders,
asbestos or freon.
Through electronic reuse, PCs for People provides low-cost refurbished computers and
affordable broadband internet for low-income individuals and non-profit organizations,
