Parking & Campus Directions for Homecoming Weekend 2013

The McKendree homecoming celebration is an exciting weekend of football, visiting alumni, tailgating and lots of fun! Public Safety is asking for everyone to be informed of parking restrictions and street closures when arriving to campus on Homecoming Weekend, October 4-6, 2013.

Parking - Printable Campus Map

Lot A (Chapel) is reserved for the Golden Anniversary Reunion and must be cleared of vehicles by 10:00 p.m., Thursday.

Lot B (Hett) is reserved for Handicap and V.I.P parking only and must be cleared by 10:00 p.m., Friday.

Lot C (Facing Alton Street) is reserved for the Bearcat Boulevard Tailgaters, Handicap, VIP and for those who have purchased reserved tickets for the game. Lot C must be cleared by 5:00 p.m. Friday.

Lot D (Leemon) and Lot E (Softball Field) are available for general parking.

Lot (Physical Plant) is available for general parking.

Lot G (South MPCC) is reserved for participants of the President's Homecoming Breakfast and must be cleared by 5:00 p.m., Friday (No parking zones will be posted). This event is only open to members of the William McKendree, Old Main, and Cornerstone Societies.

Lot H (North MPCC) loading zone ally way in rear of the building is restricted for Bus access only, all other area is available for general parking unless blocked off.

Lot M (Carnegie/Benson Wood) is reserved for the Board of Trustees and must be cleared by 5:00 p.m., Thursday.

Lot (McKendree West) is available for general parking.

 

Campus Directions

Due to an event in downtown Lebanon, St. Louis St. (a.k.a. Brick Street) will be closed throughout the weekend. Also, please be advised that portions of Alton St. and W. Center St. will be temporarily closed for the Homecoming Parade on Saturday, October 5, 2013 from about 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Directions from St. Louis

1. Take I-64 East

2. Exit IL Rt. 4 North (# 23)

3. Turn left onto IL-4 North

4. Proceed approximately 4 miles

5. Turn left onto W. Center St. (after stoplight at top of the hill) - St. Louis St. will be closed to traffic Homecoming Weekend, October 4-6, 2013. Turn Left onto W. Center St. instead of St. Louis St.

6. Turn right onto Alton St. at stop sign

7. After 1 block campus will be on your left

Directions from Northern Illinois

1. Take I-55 South or I-57 South to I-70 West

2. Exit IL-4 South exit (# 33 from I-55 or exit # 21 from I-70)

3. Turn left onto IL-4 South

4. Turn right onto W. Center St. (before stoplight at top of the hill) - St. Louis St. will be closed to traffic Homecoming Weekend, October 4-6, 2013. Turn Right onto W. Center St. instead of St. Louis St.

5. Turn right onto Alton St. at stop sign

6. After 1 block campus will be on your left

Directions from the Southeast

1. Consult your map. You may need to access I-57 North if you are located in the southeastern corner of Illinois

2. Take I-64 West towards St. Louis

3. Exit IL-4 (# 23)

4. Turn right onto IL-4 North to Lebanon

5. In Lebanon, proceed through flashing light at the 4-way stop

6. Turn left onto W. Center St. (after stoplight at top of the hill) - St. Louis St. will be closed to traffic Homecoming Weekend, October 4-6, 2013. Turn Left onto W. Center St. instead of St. Louis St.

7. Turn right onto Alton St. at stop sign

8. After 1 block campus will be on your left

Directions from the East

1. Take US-50 West

2. US-50 meets with St. Louis St. at the flashing light at the 4-way stop - St. Louis St. will be closed to traffic Homecoming Weekend, October 4-6, 2013. Turn Right onto IL-4 (North). Then, make a left unto W. Center St.

3. Turn right onto Alton St. at stop sign

4. After 1 block campus will be on your left
