McKendree and Illinois Eastern Community College 2+2 Agreements Ease Transfer for 17 Programs

(LEBANON, Ill., May 27, 2021) - McKendree University and Illinois Eastern Community College (IECC) recently established 17 articulation agreements that enable students to advance their education and careers by ensuring a seamless transfer process for students seeking a bachelor’s degree.

The 2+2 articulation agreements between the institutions establish a set of IECC courses and credits accepted by McKendree. A Bachelor of Science in nursing agreement offers the option of dual enrollment and the acceptance and application of credits to nursing students at IECC. Bachelor of Business Administration program agreements in accounting, business administration, cyber defense, economics, economics/finance, entrepreneurship, human resource management, management, marketing, sport management, and supply chain management & logistics guarantee a student transferring from IECC may transfer to McKendree as a junior with the required courses in place for the selected major.

“McKendree University has always taken pride in being transfer friendly,” said Dr. Melissa Meeker, Dean of McKendree Worldwide. “We have a focused effort to expand our agreements with community colleges throughout Illinois and the greater St. Louis region to ease the process for prospective students.”

McKendree University works continually with community colleges throughout the state to develop articulation agreements and four-year transfer plans for students who complete their associate’s degree and go on to earn their bachelor’s degree at the university.
