McKendree and Kaskaskia College 2+2 Agreements Ease Transfer for Eight Programs
(LEBANON, Ill., May 27, 2021) - McKendree University and Kaskaskia College recently
established eight articulation agreements that enable students to advance their education
and careers by ensuring a seamless transfer process for students seeking a bachelor’s
degree.
The 2+2 articulation agreements between the institutions establish a set of Kaskaskia
courses and credits accepted by McKendree. A Bachelor of Science in nursing agreement offers the option of dual enrollment and the acceptance and application
of credits to nursing students at Kaskaskia. Additional program agreements for the
Bachelor of Arts in history, political science, psychology, and sociology; Bachelor
of Business Administration in accounting and business administration; and Bachelor
of Science in exercise science and sports performance guarantee a student transferring
from IECC may transfer to McKendree as a junior with the required courses in place
for the selected major.
“McKendree University has always taken pride in being transfer friendly,” said Dr.
Melissa Meeker, Dean of McKendree Worldwide. “We have a focused effort to expand our
agreements with community colleges throughout Illinois and the greater St. Louis region
to ease the process for prospective students.”
McKendree University works continually with community colleges throughout the state
to develop articulation agreements and four-year transfer plans for students who complete
their associate’s degree and go on to earn their bachelor’s degree at the university.
McKendree currently offers more than 50 such agreements with 11 different community
colleges.
