McKendree University Welcomes Four New Trustees

(LEBANON, Ill., Aug. 15, 2022) – The McKendree University board of trustees recently welcomed its four newest members this year, Jeff Dosier, Kent Marty, Lawrence “Larry” Carrico and The Reverend Dr. Victor K. Long.

Dosier, of Belleville, Ill., is the retired superintendent of Belleville Township High School District 201. He earned his bachelor’s degree in education from McKendree, his master’s degree in education administration from Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville and his doctorate in educational leadership from Saint Louis University. Dosier is a member of the Illinois Association of School Administrators, and he previously served as the president of the Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce. Dosier took the Pledge of Office as an official member at the board meeting on May 7.

Marty, of Edwardsville, Ill., previously served as the director of commercial operations for Aclara Technologies in St. Louis. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from McKendree University and his Master of Business Administration from Lindenwood University. He is also a past recipient of the McKendree University Loyal Service Award in 2011 and previously served on the Sports Hall of Fame Committee. Marty took the Pledge of Office as an official member at the board’s retreat on August 13.

Carrico, of St. Louis, is the CEO of SKC Enterprises, Inc. and the owner of Rent One in St. Louis. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus, the president of the Association of Progressive Rental Organizations (APRO) and the president of the Kiwanis Club. Carrico took the Pledge of Office as an official member at the board’s retreat on August 13.

Rev. Dr. Long, of Mt. Vernon, Ill., is the pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from McKendree, his Master of Divinity degree from Perkins School of Theology from Southern Methodist University; and a Doctor of Ministry in Applied Ministries from the Graduate Theological Foundation. He is active in the Lewis & Clark Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution and the Mount Vernon Rotary Club. Dr. Long took the Pledge of Office as an official member at the board’s retreat on August 13.
