Hett Adds Recent Releases to 2018 Film Series
“Dunkirk,” “Get Out” and “The Shape of Water”
(LEBANON, Ill., November 29, 2017) — Three new releases, including anticipated Academy
Award contenders, have been added to the Hettenhausen Center for the Arts’ Film Arts Series in 2018.
“All of these films have excellent chances of being recognized during award season,”
said Peter Palermo, director of the Hett. The films are:
“Dunkirk” (2017) – Sunday, Jan. 28 at 3 and 7 p.m. Allied soldiers from Belgium, the British
Empire and France are surrounded by the German Army and evacuated during a fierce
battle in World War II. Written and directed by Christopher Nolan. 1 hour, 46 min.;
rated PG-13.
“Get Out” (2017) - Friday, Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. In this mystery thriller written by Jordan Peele,
a young African American meets his white girlfriend’s parents for a weekend in their
secluded estate in the woods but the friendly and polite ambience gives way to a nightmare.

“The Shape Of Water” (2017) - Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. This otherworldly fairy tale written and directed
by Guillermo del Toro is set in 1962 Cold War-era America. In the hidden high-security
government laboratory where she works, a lonely woman’s life is changed forever when
she and a co-worker discover a secret classified experiment. 2 hours, 3 min.; rated
R.
