Recycle Electronics at McKendree University on April 21
Annual Recycling Drive is Among Earth Week Events
(LEBANON, Ill., April 7, 2015) — McKendree University’s Green Team will host a free
electronics recycling event on Tuesday, April 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Follow the
“McKendree Event Detour” signs to the parking lot near the Hettenhausen Center for
the Arts on campus and look for the truck where items will be accepted.
With the exception of TVs and computer monitors, RNA Worldwide will take any item
that plugs into a wall or operates on batteries, free of charge. Acceptable items
are computers, audio-visual equipment, appliances, cables, cell phones, digital cameras,
batteries, speakers, metal office furniture and equipment, and scrap metal. RNA Worldwide
will not take TVs, computer monitors, chemicals, paint, non-metal furniture, hazardous
waste, wood, 100 percent plastics, bedding items, clothing and biological waste.

The annual recycling event is part of Earth Week on campus, which will include “Earthfest”
activities and a concert on April 22, Sigma Zeta’s annual plant sale, tree planting,
and a dodge ball tournament.
