McKendree Student Antione Watson Named Winner in Sodexo’s “Share the Wealth” National Sweepstakes, Donates $500 to The St. Louis Area Foodbank

(LEBANON, Ill., May 27, 2022) – Antione Watson, a junior at McKendree University, was recently named one of 19 randomly selected winners in Sodexo’s “Share the Wealth Sweepstakes” as part of its spring resident dining promotion series. This national prize sweepstakes gave students across the United States the chance to win one of 19 $500 donations. These donations are made in their name to their campus food pantry or a local hunger-related charity.

Watson, who is double majoring in business administration and management, selected the St. Louis Area Foodbank as his charity beneficiary because of his connection to the area. “I spent most of my life living in the St. Louis area,” he said. “I felt like donating the $500 to the St. Louis Area Foodbank would help the most.” In addition to the donation, Watson will receive a $500 cash prize.

Featured at more than 600 Sodexo-managed colleges and universities nationwide, Sodexo’s spring resident dining promotion series included several enjoyable events for students in addition to the Share the Wealth Sweepstakes. Two core dining showcase events, Return of the ‘20s and Monopol-EATS!, were filled with high-spirited and delicious dishes, and meals filled with power and panache.
