Take Summer Classes at McKendree University and Save 50 Percent
(LEBANON, Ill., December 17, 2018) — Undergraduate students will save 50 percent on
tuition when they register for summer classes offered at McKendree University’s Lebanon,
Ill., campus or online.
“This summer we have a broad array of exciting summer classes for students to take,”
said Dr. Tami Eggleston, associate dean for institutional effectiveness. “Many of
these courses are eight weeks and online so students have flexibility in scheduling.”
By taking summer classes, students can:
-
Accelerate their academic program at a significant savings.
-
Take a lighter course load during the regular semester, making it easier to participate in campus activities.
-
Eliminate the paperwork required to register at another school.
-
Boost their grade point average if they do well.
-
Complete an internship in the summer that will help with their future plans.
“Summer is the perfect time for students to complete an internship when they have
more time to dedicate fully to the experience,” Eggleston said. “At McKendree we have
a 97 percent graduate success rate placing students in graduate schools and careers
and this is in part due to our successful internship program.”
This offer does not apply to graduate students or those enrolled at the university’s
off-site locations. Online courses carry an additional $70 per credit hour technology
fee. Lab or other course-specific fees will also apply, however, student activity
and health services fees will not be charged. The financial aid staff will review
all students who have financial aid eligibility.
In addition, the university has reduced housing costs significantly for students who
want to work, study or train this summer. Rates are as follows:
May 13-31 $150
June 1-30 $300
July 1-31 $310
Aug. 1-23 $230
Entire summer (May 13-Aug. 23) $990
Interested current undergraduates may contact their academic advisors and new students
