Grants & Awards
To represent its commitment to excellence, Phi Kappa Phi gives more that $1 million
each biennium to outstanding students. The awards are given to individual members
and chapters through a variety of award competitions.
Fellowships
To members currently in their first year of graduate or professional study, Phi Kappa
Phi awards fifty-one fellowships of $5,000 and six valued at $15,000 each year.
Study Abroad Grants
Phi Kappa Phi also supports undergraduates through their wishes to gain knowledge
and experience by studying abroad. Applicants for this grant do not have to be members
of Phi Kappa Phi.
Love of Learning Awards
Phi Kappa Phi's Love of Learning Awards provide funds for post-baccalaureate studies
and/or career development for active members.
Literacy Grants
To fund ongoing literacy projects or create new programs, Phi Kappa Phi will give
up to $2,500 to chapters and individual members.
Dissertation Fellowships
One of two Dissertation Fellowships are available for application by Doctoral candidates
who are writing dissertations. The Dissertation Fellowships are valued at $10,000
each.
Distinguished Service
The Ray Sylvester Distinguished Service Award provides $1,000 to an active member
who has shown sustained, non-compensated volunteer service outside the realm of academia.
Scholar and Artist
Members demonstrating the ideals of Phi Kappa Phi by their lifelong activities, achievements,
and scholarships are eligible to receive $1,000 from the Society.
