Why a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate?
McKendree University is offering online post-baccalaureate certificates to supplement
students' education and facilitate a shorter path to entry into, or advancement within
specific careers. The courses that comprise the post-baccalaureate certificates are
graduate-level courses that can be applied to the requirements for the Master of Business
Administration programs.

Post-Baccalaureate Certificates
Certificates are eligible to anyone who holds a bachelor degree. Foundation courses
may be required (see *^below).

Corporate Finance - 18 credits*
Topics such as mergers and acquisitions, strategic tax planning, and financial statement analysis help students understand functional and strategic perspective of finance in an organization.

Students in this program are grounded in the foundational technology, as well as the operational, legal/ethical, and strategic context of protecting networks and intellectual property in organizations.

Digital Marketing - 18 credits*
Courses in digital marketing help students harness technology as it is used in marketing to understand the needs of the target market, to influence the marketing mix, and to deliver value to the customer. Students also learn to analyze relevant metrics that contribute to the overall success of the firm.

Human Resource Management - 18 credits*
Students will take courses that help them understand the HRM process, including job planning and job design, recruiting and hiring, training and development, and benefit management. Courses also help students understand the ever-evolving legal and ethical environment of HRM.

*Students who have completed coursework in all the foundation areas of business may begin the post-baccalaureate certificate courses. If students have not completed undergraduate courses in accounting, management/marketing, microeconomics, and statistics, you will be required to receive foundation knowledge in the deficient area(s).
Foundation courses provide students with broad introductory knowledge in key subject areas of business. The courses are:
MBA 501 Foundations of Accounting and Finance
MBA 502 Economics for Managers
MBA 503 Marketing and Management Concepts
MBA 504 Quantitative and Statistical Tools
^Students pursuing the Cyber Defense concentration may have to complete MBA 570 Foundations in Cyber Defense if they have no education or certificates in the field of information security with the requisite knowledge to be successful in the remaining cyber defense courses of the program.
McKendree offers these courses in the online format specifically for students who are deficient in any of the foundation areas. A foundation course must be completed prior to taking an MBA course in that area.
Format
Classes are offered 100% online in five 8-week sessions per year (January, March,
June, August and October).
Admission Requirements
McKendree University admits students who present evidence of their potential to complete
graduate level work. Applicants are considered on an individual basis without regard
to sex, race, disability, nationality, sexual orientation, or religion. The following
documentation is required for consideration of admission:
1. A completed graduate admission application (no fee).
2. A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
3. Official transcripts from each college or university attended. Official transcripts are those sent from institution to institution.
4. A minimum 3.0 GPA on a four-point scale in undergraduate studies.
5. A current resume or vita.
6. Three professional references.
7. Essay describing the personal and professional goals that will be met by completion
of the degree.
Tuition & Financial Aid
Tuition for the post-baccalaureate certificates during the 2022-2023 academic year is $555 per credit hour.
Military using Tuition Assistance (TA) the tuition rate is $250 per credit hour.
Students will be classified as non-degree seeking and can pursue Alternative Loans. Non-degree seeking students are not eligible for federal financial aid.
