Engagement

Greek SocialMembership in a fraternity or sorority is a life-long commitment which gives the opportunity to make lasting friendships and have a supportive network of alumni.

Some of the traditions that organizations have created range from Thursday Night Applebee’s dinner with one another, to Thanksgiving potlucks, to alumni dinners, and other sisterhood and brotherhood activities.

Chapters meet regularly not only to conduct the business of ensuring that members are striving to meet the standards and goals of the group, but to cement social bonds and assist fellow members with the day to day struggles of college life.

Networking is an integral part of the college experience and membership in a fraternity or sorority can provide one of the strongest foundations for social interfacing with a network of peers. Chapters help build networks that often prove beneficial to students when looking for internships, employment, and recommendations.
