Purple Pigs Bring Home the Bacon

“Give Big to the Pig” is a fun way students are sharing in the spirit of philanthropy. A “Holy Smokes” barbecue last fall launched a series of “Purple Pig Roundups” throughout the year, where students pigged out and emptied their banks of spare change in a friendly fundraising competition. “Besides being a cool keepsake, the purple pigs make it easy and painless to give a little something back to McKendree in a feel good way,” said the director of alumni relations.
