Entryway Dedication
A new arched entryway monument with its graceful fountain and patio makes a grand
first impression at the corner of Alton and St. Louis Streets. It is intended as a
place to meet, cool off by the fountain or simply relax. Financed by donor funds,
designed by Arcturis of St. Louis and built by Holland Construction, it was completed
in late 2013 and dedicated on April 26, 2014. “We hope you will come here often and
when you do, we hope you will be reminded of McKendree’s welcome to you, to our broader
community, and of our transformative mission carried out through the education of
our students,” remarked Dr. James Dennis.
