Lots to Cheer About at Nationals!

The McKendree cheer team had its best showing in school history, placing third in the Small Coed Division II at the National Association of Cheerleading Nationals Competition in Daytona Beach, Fla., in April. Nearly 7,000 competitors from 35 states, Japan, Canada and Costa Rica were judged on their skills and showmanship at the world’s largest college cheer and dance championship meet. First-year students made up nearly half of McKendree’s 28-member squad, most of whom had never been to nationals.
